Monster Hunter Rise is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Switch. The game is a spin-off of the Monster Hunter series and was announced at E3 2017. The game is set to release in March 2021.
Monster Hunter Rise will take players to the new locale of Kamura Village, an idyllic mountain village that sits surrounded by verdant fields and spring waters. From this hub, players will venture out into the nearby valley to take on a variety of monsters solo or with up to three other friends in local or online co-op play.
Storyline:
The plot of Monster Hunter Rise centers around the sudden appearance of a phenomena called the “Rampage”. The Rampage causes monsters to go on a rampage and attack Kamura Village. The player takes on the role of a hunter who must defend the village from these rampaging monsters. In order to do so, the player will need to make use of the new Wirebug mechanic to climb walls and reach new areas, as well as the new Palamute companion, which can be ridden into battle.
